Brian Setzer has a new instrumental single available on iTunes called Rat Pack Boogie from his album Nitro Burnin’ Funny Daddy. If you have iTunes installed and into Setzer and/or rockabilly you can get it here.
The NFL has announced a deal with Audible to make available recordings of the remaining playoff games and the Super Bowl. The recordings will also be available in the iTunes Music Store through an existing agreement with Audible. Pricing will be $.95 to $4.95 for highlights and $10.00 for the full game. Evidence that podcasting is starting to get some traction with the announcement that Ipswitch has entered into an agreement to underwrite public broadcaster WGBH Boston podcasting of “Morning Stories.”

New Order’s new album “Waiting for the Sirens Call” will be released in the U.K. March 28th, with the single “Krafty” to be released 2 weeks prior. Phil Cunningham is also reported to be a full time member of New Order from now on, replacing Gillian Gilbert.

MIT Technology Review has an article on podcasting. They write “You heard it here first: the technology word of the year for 2005 will be ‘podcasting’……” I hope so but the tools for recording and receiving the ‘podcasts’ have got to get better.
On Brian Setzer website he’s doing what he calls VIDEO CLIP-A-RAMA, which are clips of songs from recent shows in Atlantic City.
